Dr. Japie Grové

Dr Japie Grové qualified as medical practitioner from the University of Pretoria, after working in Jubilee Hospital in Hammanskraal and 1Military Hospital in Pretoria, he spend 3 years doing high volumes of eye surgery in rural hospitals throughout the Limpopo Province.

Dr Grové did his 4 years of formal specialist training at Tygerberg Hospital under the guidance of the internationally respected Prof. David Meyer.

Though well versed in all aspects of eye surgery, he has a special interest in both cataract/refractive as well as vitreo-retinal surgery.

Dr Grové has published in national as well as international ophthalmology journals on different topics and has been a reviewer for an international ophthalmology journal. He is also a part time lecturer at Stellenbosch University where he is teaching vitreo-retinal surgery to ophthalmologists in training. He is a family man and blessed with a lovely wife and 3 boys.
